Poor River & Walking Festival!

The River & Walking Festival begins on Thursday until Sunday.  Mostly the Paddlers take over 100 youngsters on the river Teifi and for wildlife walks around Llandysul.  This year there’s an exhibition of Nature Sculpture beside the river at Plas y Dderwen (on the opposite bank to the Paddlers building.)  This has been organised by Corlan and created by local children.  There’s also “Introduction to Fly Fishing” at Llandysul Park on Friday afternoon 2-5pm by members of Llandysul Angling Association (this happens every Friday afternoon throughout August).  And, again on Friday, there will be a guided country walk from the Canoe Centre at 5pm.
Sounds great! But the weather could well spoil the whole thing.  As I understand it anyone who wants to go on the river will be take down stream, probably to Cilgerran as the river is too high and fast for novices here at Llandysul now.  All the other activities will continue – hopefully people will still turnout to support it. Pob lwc i bawb!
